Chertsey Club Site 200 Pitches - Non Members Welcome

"Chertsey is on the banks of the Thames, just a 30-minute train ride from London."

This lovely riverside campsite is an oasis in the suburbs. It has a really rural feel yet is just a 30-minute train ride from London. It’s also perfectly placed for visiting some of the country’s best-loved theme parks (Lego Land, Thorpe Park and Chessington), as well as the world-famous Kew, Wisely and Savill gardens. Hampton Court and Chelsea flower shows are also within easy reach from here.

This popular site is on the banks of the River Thames. Bag yourself a riverside pitch and watch the many pleasure craft sail by. Canoeists can launch from here, while walkers will enjoy the Thames Path Nature Trail, a towpath leading to Staines.

The sheltered site provides great facilities for campers, including a games room with TV and table tennis table.

"We visit this site every October as a base for an event we run at Epsom. Every year we have more people in our group, more vans, and more requests. The wardens are amazing and have always made us feel very welcome at very visit so its not a one off. The site is lovely and would recommend to anyone a brilliant base and a beautiful quiet site next to the weir and river."

"I had a real issue as the Club system somehow booked me on the wrong days but when I arrived the team at Chertsey moved heaven and earth to get me a pitch, which is not easy with an 8x8 tent !. Within 15 minutes they had found 2 empty smaller pitches and hey presto we had a wonderful weekend. Such friendly and helpful people make all the difference, the weather was superb actually too hot in the tent but sitting out on the lovely green grass by the river was superb, and the BP station across the road is full of everything you will ever need so need to drive anywhere really. There are loads of walks along the river that are really lovely and 2 close pubs. Only downside noise of M3 but we just imagined it was the sea !!"

"Last minute booking to this site. Very warm welcome by all the staff. Was given a superb pitch beside the River Thames. Lovely peaceful site even though there is a children's play area. Facilities always clean and showers good and hot. The take away shack serves up a fantastic breakfast. We will go again for weekend breaks as this site is a short distance from home."

"A very nice site for a weekend break. There were some nice areas nearby to walk the dog or take a nice stroll along the Thames. A slight background noise from road traffic but after a short while was not noticeable. The shop over the road is well stocked or there are the mainline supermarkets within 3 miles. Toilet facilities were spotless at all times and the staff were always helpful."

"A lovely site with very welcoming staff. Shower block was spotless and toastie warm at all times. Our pitch was a bit muddy, but that was due to the rain over the few days before we got there and the day we arrived. Loads of wildlife about including Egyptian Geese, ducks, rabbits, squirrels and some parakeets! Great location for London, we caught the train from Weybridge once and drove in on another day - both took about the same time. Would definitely stay here again when visiting this part of the country."

"When booking the new manager was extremely helpful and managed to find a spot as they were fully booked. On arrival the staff were extrememly polite and most helpful - they gave us lots of advice. The pitch was excellent and when we asked if we could stay for longer on the Sunday as it was such a beautiful day they were most accommodating. We took the dog and had a lovely walk to one of the many local pubs on the river. A beautiful site with a great location and lovely people - what more could we ask for!"

"Just returned from a lovely 2 night stay at the site. Plenty of facilities and kept really clean by the wardens, (just a shame some campers are lazy and don't clean up after themselves!!). We were in a tent with no electric, but on Friday night for the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic games, we watch most of the coverage in the recreation room, which was great. The wardens are very friendly and helpful. The only little downside we have, is the cleanliness of the washing up room, plenty of hot water there, so sorted that one out, but it could do with upgrading. All in all a great place to explore."
